Root Chakra

Feel like you need a little grounding? Your Root Chakra may be a wee bit out of balance. Here are a just a few Lifestyle Tips to help bring your Root Chakra back into balance.

Root Chakra is the first chakra which is represented by the colour red, resonates with the adrenal glands and the fight or flight response. It is our connection to the earth, our relationship to our physical body and the path to manifestation.

Emotional signs of an imbalanced root chakra are; fear, closed mindedness, in-ability to be flexible and feelings of being stuck. To help balance the first chakra concentrate on your breathing. Inhaling through your nose, feel your breath move through your entire body, feel yourself grounded to the earth. Exhale slowly like a glass slowly emptying. Become present in the moment while releasing all limiting thoughts. Be present, you are a gift.

Physical discomforts are lower back, leg and or hip pain and colon issues. If you hear yourself saying, “I don’t have a leg to stand on, I can’t let go, no one has my back.” Your root chakra may be saying trust the process, let go and let the universe surprise you with new experiences. Trust and keep your focus on the now, moving one foot in front of the other. At times like this my personal manta is “LOVE LIVES HERE NOW”. When there is Love there is no room for anything else.

Bringing Balance to the Root Chakra: wear and or meditate on the colour red, go for a walk on the beach, sit under a tree, lay sprawled out on the grass watch the clouds drift by, feel yourself alive and connected to the earth, the flowers and the bees. Place a Smokey Quartz in your hip pocket for balance, grounding and attentiveness.

Root Chakra Affirm: I am grateful for the physical manifestation of my body. I embrace Heaven into my LIFE here on earth. May “Love Live Here Now.”
