What is a Chakra?

Chakra means spinning wheel, vortex, energy center.

Chakra’s are thought to be the 7 main energy centers of the body. They can be likened to the dials of a radio. They are what fine tunes your physical body to your spiritual and emotional bodies. They are associated with the endocrine system and the related glans, organs and tissue. Where there is dis-ease, disease is thought to occur causing a dis-functioning chakra and possible over time ill-health.

What is Inner Feng Shui?

Inner Feng Shui is the act of cultivating peace and harmony within our physical, mental and emotional bodies.

Why is Inner Feng Shui important?

Inner Feng Shui assists in reducing physical and emotional stress’s which in part are a by-product of our current lifestyles and personal circumstances. When there is stress, the body undergoes various degrees of chemical imbalances that have the potential to cause a dis-ease of personal chi. Inner Feng Shui strives to assist in bringing the body, mind connection back into a natural flow of homeostasis.

In order to start cultivating your own personal Inner Feng Shui~ Take at least 10 minutes out today to breathe, really breathe. Feel your lungs expanding. Taking the breath down to your diaphragm, feel your belly expand. Visualize your feet grounded to the earth through the soles of your feet. Exhale, feel all your tension leave. With each exhale you become relaxed and free of stress. You will become joyful in your day.

If 10 minutes is too much to ask, start with 2 minutes and work yourself up. Inner Feng Shui is about comfort and easy. It’s not about getting stressed about the time commitment it takes to meditate. That would be counterproductive. If you find your mind wondering, don’t get frustrated, simply return to the focus of your breath. When fleeting images or thoughts come to mind let them go by choose a mantra that keeps your mind focused, such as “Namaste, Namaste”. The Divine in me recognizes the Divine in you.” A fabulous way to return to the present moment. After all it is a gift, so honor it with a smile.
