A Vintage DIY Pantry Light

I wanted a light in our pantry but we don’t have any source of electricity in it to make it happen. We’ve talked about running wires from the basement through the floor to instal a plug-in but it just hasn’t been a priority. So I’ve been on the hunt for something that would do the trick. From LED puck lights to string lights and then I came across this vintage mini crystal lamp that I found at the Village for $6.00. It’s in perfect condition so I can plug it in when we instal the plug in. For now I wrapped a string of Dollar Store battery operated twinkle lights around the bulb and tada we have light!

Patients and a little imagination. The twinkle light idea was my girlfriends. It’s always more fun to thrift with a friend. I’m not really loving the cool blue lights. I’ll be changing these babies to warm daylights as soon as the batteries die. I love that the warm daylights look more like candle light reather than this odd blue. But for now I’m happy to have some mood lighting in the pantry.
